Missio Dei Church is an elder led church. An elder is a man who displays calling, competency, and character to provide oversight and directional leadership in the life of the local church. The biblical qualifications for an elder are found primarily in 1 Timothy 3:1-7Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4.

Pastor

   Mark White   – Mark is a southwest Virginia guy who graduated from Radford University in Radford, VA with a Bachelors in Business. During his tenure at Radford he met his wife, Ambryan who attended Virginia Tech. Mark received his Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisiana in 2005. Mark and his wife were married in April 2005 and have two children: Elijah and Rachel. Mark is devoted to Ambryan, loves his children, and is the consummate people-person. He is passionate to see how God's unique wiring of individuals connects with the church and community.

Worship Leader

  Benji Taylor  began leading worship at Missio Dei in 2010. He and his wife Megan have two sons, Finn and Nazareth. Benji has many talents and interests. He has a good fade-away jumper, a keen taste for good coffee, can grow a beard that would make most lumberjacks jealous, is an exceptional guitarist, writes and composes his own music, and loves WV and her people. More importantly, Benji loves Jesus and his family and God's gracious hand is evident on Benji's life. Missio Dei is blessed to have him and the talented musicians God's brought to lead His people in worship.
